Common coltsfoot

Description:

  • It comes from the Astraceae family of plants.
  • Plant occurs in Europe and in much of Asia.
  • Phytotherapy utilizes coltsfoot leaves (Folium Farfarae) and coltsfoot flowers (Flos Farfarae).
  • Main active substances contained in coltsfoot leaves extracts are: mucilage (7-8%), tannins, essential oils, flavonoids, phytosterols, polyphenolic acids and zinc.
