Black currant

Black currant is a kind of low bushes, occurring in Poland, mainly in the lowlands, forests and moist thickets. It is also a cultivated plant.  The raw material used in medicine is the fruit of black currant rich in polyphenols, vitamins B, pectin and sugar. A characteristic feature of raw material is also a high content of vitamin C. Polyphenols and flavonoids, have antioxidant properties and are involved in the biosynthesis of immune cells. Preserves of fresh black currant fruit, rich in vitamins and anthocyanins, increase immunity.

Black currant concentrate is an ingredient of Pyrosal Kid syrup, which supports the immune system, with beneficial effects on the balance of the body’s defenses.
