Cratonic®
coated tablets, OTC drugCratonic® contains thick extract of hawthorn inflorescence (Crataegi inflorescentiae extractum spissum).
Cratonic® tones up coronary blood circulation, increases blood flow in coronary vessels and cardiac muscle, increases strength of heart contractions (positive inotropic effects).
Indications for application
The drug is applied as an adjunctive agent during initial stages of cardiac insufficiency (I° and II° according to NYHA), not requiring application of other drugs.
How to apply CRATONIC®
Adults – orally 2 tablets 3 times a day.
The preparation should be taken systematically for at least 4 – 6 weeks.
Consult a physician, if you think that effects of Cratonic® are too strong or too weak.
In case of taking higher than indicated dose of Cratonic®
There are no known symptoms of overdose. Consult a physician or a pharmacist in case of taking higher than recommended dose of the drug.
In case of skipping the dose of the drug
Continue treatment. Do not apply a double dose in order to supplement the omitted one.
Before you apply CRATONIC®
Do not apply Cratonic® in case of:
Hypersensitivity (allergy) to the preparation components.
Observe special care while applying Cratonic®
If symptoms do not withdraw, remain for a period longer than 6 weeks or fluid gathers in the form of leg edema, it is necessary to consult a physician.
Individuals with the following symptoms should immediately report to a physician: pain in the region of heart spreading to arm, pain in the upper abdomen, pain in the neck and dyspnea.
Observe special care while simultaneously administering other drugs used in cardiac insufficiency and hypotensive drugs, since their effects might be intensified.
Important information concerning some components of Cratonic®
The drug contains lactose. In case of patients with previously confirmed intolerance of some sugars, it is necessary to consult a physician before taking the drug.
Pregnancy
It is necessary to consult a physician before application of the drug.
No controlled clinical trials have been conducted in pregnant women and for this reason it is not recommended to use the drug during this period.
Breast feeding
It is necessary to consult a physician before application of the drug.
No controlled clinical trials have been conducted in breast feeding women and for this reason it is not recommended to use the drug during this period.
Driving of vehicles and operation of moving mechanisms
No influence of the drug on the ability to drive vehicles and operate moving mechanisms have been demonstrated.
Use of other drugs
Simultaneous administration of Cratonic® and other drugs used in cardiac insufficiency or hypotensive drugs may intensify their effects.
Inform the doctor about all the recently applied drugs, even those sold over the counter and without prescription.
Possible undesired effects
So far, no undesired effects have been reported.
In case of any undesired effects, it is necessary to consult a physician.
Storage of CRATONIC®
Store at the temperature not exceeding 25°C, out of reach and sight of children.
Do not use the drug after expiry date stated on the package.

[Extractant – ethanol 70%]
Auxiliary substances:
lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, potato starch, carboxymethyl amylum sodium salt, magnesium stearate, powidon, Aqua Polish blue 060.13 MS: (hypromelose, talc, miglyol 812, titanium dioxide E 171, indigotin E 132, brilliant blue E 133, quinoline yellow E 104).
Packaging contains: 30 coated tablets.
