Hederoin®

tablets, OTC drug

The tablets of Hederoin® contain dry extract of ivy leaves (Hederae helicis folii extractum siccum). The preparation is applied as an expectorant and mildly bronchospamolytic agent, reducing density of thick secretion blocking throat, larynx and bronchi and facilitating expectoration.

Indications for application
The tablets of Hederoin® are traditionally applied in case of cough, especially with difficult expectoration of thick secretion and as an auxiliary agent in inflammations of the upper airways and bronchi.

 

 

How to apply Hederoin®

The drug Hederoin® is to be administered orally.
Children of school age 1 tablet 3 times a day, adults 2 tablets 3 times a day.

In case of taking higher than recommended dose of Hederoin®
Do not exceed the recommended doses.

In case of taking higher than recommended dose the drug of and appearance of undesired effects, it is necessary to consult a physician.

In case of skipping the dose of Hederoin®
Continue treatment. Do not apply a double dose in order to supplement the omitted one.

The following may occur after discontinuation of treatment with Hederoin®
Discontinuation of treatment with Hederoin® may result in intensification of expectoration of thick secretion blocking throat, larynx and bronchi. Duration of treatment depends on the kind and clinical picture of the disease and should not last shorter than a week. If the symptoms do not withdraw or intensify during treatment, it is necessary to consult a physician.

Before you apply Hederoin®

Do not apply Hederoin® in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any auxiliary substance.
Patients with confirmed intolerance of certain sugars should consult a physician before applying the drug.

Pregnancy
No controlled clinical trials have been conducted in pregnant women and for this reason, application of the drug during this period should be consulted with a physician.

Breast feeding
No controlled clinical trials have been conducted in breast feeding women and for this reason, application of the drug during this period should be consulted with a physician.

Driving of vehicles and operation of moving mechanisms
No impairment of psychophysical aptitude by the preparation has been fund.

Use of other drugs
No known interactions with other drugs.

 

Possible undesired effects

As every drug, Hederoin® may cause undesired effects.
In case of sensitive patients and in case of taking higher than recommended dose of the drug, these include irritations of stomach and intestines, vomiting and diarrheas.
If any of the above mentioned symptoms appear, immediately discontinue treatment and consult a physician.

Storage of Hederoin®

Store at the temperature not exceeding 25°C, out of reach and sight of children.

Do not use the drug after expiry date stated on the package.

Hederae helicis folii extractum siccum 15 mg, tablets

Active substance:
Dry extract of common ivy leaf (Hederae helicis folii extractum siccum, DER 4-8:1) -15 mg
[ extractant: ethanol 30 % m/m]

Auxiliary substances:
dry extract of licorice root with pulverized cellulose, anise oil, potato starch, saccharose, powidon, talc

Packaging contains 30 tablets
