Hemorol ®
suppositories, OTC drugHemorol® is a drug in the form of rectal suppositories traditionally applied to alleviate complaints accompanying hemorrhoids.
Hemorol is also applied in chronic inflammatory states of rectal mucosa as well as irritations and cracking of rectal mucosa.
Hemorol suppositories cause withdrawal of pain as a result of anesthetic effects of benzocaine. The preparation also contains components of local styptic, anti-inflammatory and diastolic effects.
The product is intended for traditional use in the above mentioned indications and its efficiency is based exclusively upon long-standing use and experience.
How to apply Hemorol
Adults – administer rectally 1 suppository for night, in more serious cases 2 to 3 suppositories a day.
The suppositories should be applied until pain-related complaints withdraw, however not longer than for 7 consecutive days.
Cut the foil vertically over the suppository tip and tear energetically in order to get it out of packaging.
In case of taking higher than recommended dose of Hemorol
In case of applying a higher dose of the preparation or application incompatible with the described method of administration, consult a physician or a pharmacist.
Before you apply HEMOROL
It is necessary to know the cause of disease and for this reason, we recommend to consult a physician.
In case of large hemorrhoids, after application of a suppository (about 5-10 minutes) pain on pressure may occur, disappearing after the suppository melts.
Application of Hemorol in children
It is not recommended to admninister the drug to children because of lack of data concerning safety.
Pregnancy
Do not apply to pregnant women.
Breast feeding
The drug safety has not been investigated in breast feeding women and for this reason it is not recommended to use during this period.
Driving of vehicles and operation of moving mechanisms
HEMOROL® has no influence on the ability to drive vehicles and operate moving mechanisms.
Possible undesired effects
No undesired effects have been reported in case of application of the product of Hemorol, however if these appear, it is necessary to consult a physician.
Pruritus or flare appearance is possible. In case of allergic reaction or intensification of the disease symptoms, discontinue application of the preparation and consult a physician.
Storage of Hemorol
The drug should not be stored at the temperature exceeding 25°C.
Store out of reach and sight of children.
Do not use the drug after expiry date stated on the package.

Active substances:
Chamomillae anthodii extractum spissum (3:1); extractant: purified water 50 mg
Belladonnae radicis extractum spissum (4:1); extractant: ethanol 70% V/V 20 mg
Extractum compositum spissum (4:1) ex: Cytisi scoparii herba,
Hippocastani cortice, Tormentillae rhizomate, Millefolii herba;
extractant: ethanol 40% V/V 80 mg
Benzocainum 100 mg
Auxiliary substances:
Glycerol (E 422) 150 mg
Neutral fat up to 2 g
